Dr. Shrut Patel joined our practice in September 2021.

Dr. Patel attended and received his medical degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. He did his internship in Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital. He then completed his primary residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, where he also served as a Chief Resident. He completed additional subspecialty training in Sports Medicine at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine/Geisinger Health System.

Dr. Patel is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship trained in Sports Medicine. He is a member of various medical societies, including American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) and American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM). He has also contributed as co-author in various medical education publications.

Dr. Patel’s clinical focus includes nonsurgical management of sports and musculoskeletal injuries, as well as chronic degenerative musculoskeletal conditions. He believes in tailoring treatment plans to help empower patients to lead active lifestyles and improve quality of life. Dr. Patel evaluates and treats patients with shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, and ankle/foot joint-related conditions. He has expertise in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, which is utilized to identify potential sources of pain in real-time. He also has procedural expertise in ultrasound-guided injections, viscosupplementation, platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) therapy, and percutaneous microtenotomy.

We are excited to have him as part of the team and to meet the joint needs of our patients.
