Ann Kim, M. D. attended State University of New York at Binghamton for her undergraduate BS degree in Biology (1994). In 1998, she completed her Doctor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical training included transitional internship and residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (1998-2002). She worked at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (2002-2005). Dr. Kim completed training in Acupuncture at UCLA Medical Center and completed her Fellowship in Anesthesiology from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (2006). She is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Dr. Kim was listed as a Delaware Top Doctor in 2009. She has been presented with numerous awards including US Army Meritorious Medal and presentation of the American Flag from Walter Reed Army Medical Center for outstanding medical care to injured solders.
Dr. Kim is a member of the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the International Spinal Injection Society (ISIS). She is also an active member of the Medical-Dental staff at Christiana Care Health Services.
Dr. Kim specializes in conservative treatment of the spine including physical therapy, medications and interventional spine procedures. This includes cervical/lumbar epidurals, facet injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablations, sacroiliac joint injections, and discography all under fluoroscopic x-ray guidance. She also performs electromyographic studies in an office setting.
